With 21 points, an 8 card fit, and South's known 6 points, North has an easy jump to game.
Since South has extra points North doesn't know about, South is "captain" and looks for slam (33+ pts).

Play Of The Hand

Declarer counts 10 tricks with top cards and decides to ruff 2 low Spades in Dummy for 2 more tricks. To do this, only 2 rounds of trump will be drawn, then the Spades will be ruffed.

1) West leads the 9D, taken by dummy's King.
2) The JH draws one round of trumps.
3) A low Heart to the 10 draws two more trumps.

Play Of The Hand

Declarer's plan is coming together quite nicely and they are now ready to setup the Spade ruffs. Note that Dummy still has their high hearts left so East won't be able to overruff them if they have the last trump.

5) The Spade Ace is taken.
6) A low Spade loses to West's King.
7) West returns their last trump, won in Dummy.

Play Of The Hand

Declarer's ruffing plan has been foiled! West's last trump has taken yours "Two for One." Now only 1 Spade can be ruffed in Dummy and the JC must be finessed. Oops.

A better plan is to draw only 1 round of trumps. Now when West wins the KS and returns a trump, you still have 2 trumps left in dummy to ruff the loser Spades with. Timing is everything.
