You're on the Board Dummy
  |
I was playing a normal 4S contract with few surprises. I'd drawn trumps, played all my
winning Hearts and was now looking to the Diamond suit to bring home the contract. I led a low Diamond from my hand so I
could take a finesse with dummy's A Q. Left hand opponent cried out that I was not in my hand, I was on on the board. Ok I
said.
But now it dawned on me that I had no entry back to my hand to take a finesse. I pondered the situation
a moment and then played the Ace. Oh well I thought, partner will kill me for messing up my entries but that's all I can do now.
East played their singleton King and another contract was in the bag. Sometimes it pays to listen to the opponents.
